`Baby Basketball,' the Third Sports-Themed Children's Video From Tiny Tot Sports Inc., Is Released
Live Audience Adds Excitement to Video Designed to Provide Children Ages 0-6 With Playful Introduction to Basketball
Following the Award-Winning Success of `Baby Baseball' and `Baby Soccer,' Tiny Tot Sports Inc. Plans to Release `Baby Football' and `Baby Golf' in 2004
NEW YORK, July 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Tiny Tot Sports Inc., a communications and video-production company dedicated to introducing toddlers to the benefits of sports, announced today the release of its third children's video, "Baby Basketball." John Daddona, Founder and Chairman of Tiny Tot Sports, made the announcement.
"We are having a hard time keeping up with the demand for our videos," said Daddona. "Our customers are asking for basketball, football and golf videos because they saw how our other products helped to get their children in the game. Our recent awards and positive reviews have reinforced what we felt all along -- that there was a void in the children's market. These videos fill that void and get children active."
"Baby Basketball," a 30-minute video introducing toddlers to the game of basketball by using 6 characters as well as images of colorful equipment and 30 young children, was created and co-produced by Daddona and award-winning television producer ("Trading Spaces," "House Wars" and "A Wedding Story") Alan LaGarde.
The video is narrated by basketball character Coach Hardcourt. It includes segments on how to pass, shoot, and dribble the basketball. The video has bouncy music, whimsical characters and tons of children doing their best to score a basket and just have fun. "Baby Basketball" also reinforces the social skills developed in team sports.
This is the first video in the series of sports-themed videos to feature the company mascot, Coati. In addition, for the first time, portions of the video were filmed during a real game in front of a live audience.
"This is the first time we have had the children play in front of a live crowd," said LaGarde. "It really adds to the excitement and makes 'Baby Basketball' unique. That said, we once again continue to stress the importance of teamwork, sharing and friendship."
Tiny Tot Sports was recently honored The Dove Foundation Seal of Approval and named Best Vacation Toy by Dr. Toy. The videos have received positive reviews nationwide from more than 300 media outlets including The Fox News Channel, the Boston Herald, the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, the San Diego Press Enterprise, and Better Health and Living magazine.
