Description: Badder Santa is the unrated version of last winter's Bad Santa, a controversial movie because it starred Billy Bob Thornton as a drunk, womanizing, foul-mouthed Santa Claus. Badder Santa adds seven more minutes of rudeness, crudeness and offense, just in case all things Christmas weren't defiled enough in the first one. Smartly, director Terry Zwigoff knew enough to stay far from the religious aspect of the holiday and went after the things we dislike about Christmas: crowded malls, rampant materialism, greedy kids, annoying kids, fake Christmas hypocrisy Thornton plays Willie, a miserable wreck of a human being with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. He functions only because of his partner in crime Marcus (Tony Cox). During Christmas season, the two work as Santa and his elf in malls and case them. Then on Christimas Eve, Willie cracks the safe and the two have a nice Christmas present.The other 11 months of the year he's a useless drunk. Mind you, in every one of his criminal endeavors, Willie never once wears gloves.
