Genius Products, Inc. Adds 2-Pack to Line of ``The World of Beatrix
Potter'' Music CDs
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 10, 2004--
2-CD Package Designed To Fit Retailers' Music Bins Gives Consumers Added
Value
On the heels of retail success throughout the Easter Holiday selling season,
Genius Products, Inc. (OTCBB:GNPI) will add a 2-CD package to its line of "The
World of Beatrix Potter" music, it was announced by Klaus Moeller, Chief
Executive Officer.
Under a multi-year licensing agreement with Copyrights at United Media, the
licensing agent for the classic children's book "The Tale of Peter Rabbit"(TM),
and the other 22 books in "The World of Beatrix Potter" series, Genius has
created a full line of music CDs inspired by the beloved and best-selling
characters. With success in single CD and 3-CD packages, the companies believe a
double-CD package is the perfect addition to the line.
"We are very excited to expand our successful partnership with Copyrights at
United Media on `The World of Beatrix Potter' music series," Moeller said. "This
is one of the all-time children's classics, with more than 100 million books
sold worldwide in the past 20 years alone. This property has enjoyed a great
resurgence since its 100th Anniversary celebration in 2002, and we are thrilled
to continue working with the fine group of licensees on upcoming consumer and
retail promotions."
Jean Sagendorph, Licensing Manager for publishing at United Media, added,
"Genius Products has done it again! This latest collection of music inspired by
`The Tale of Peter Rabbit' has the same playful, endearing and entertaining tone
as Beatrix Potter's wonderful books. The new 2-CD set is another perfect
complement to the books and other licensed products and will make a great
addition to any child's musical library."
"The World of Beatrix Potter" comprises all the wonderful characters - Peter
Rabbit, Flopsy, Mopsy, Cotton-tail, Jemima Puddle-duck, Tom Kitten, Benjamin
Bunny and more - from the 23 books written and illustrated by Beatrix Potter.
Enjoying 96% awareness among mothers of 2-5 year olds, translated into more than
30 languages, featured on video and DVD, supported by dozens of licensees and
retailers as diverse as Dayton Hudson and Wal-Mart, "The World of Beatrix
Potter" is a powerhouse, classic property!
