One.6 and One.9 Wines Now Available on Store Shelves; ''Low-Carb Chard'' and ''So Low Merlot'' Offer Great Taste and Lower Carbs
LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 8, 2004--A low-carb lifestyle is all about the numbers and with One.6 Chardonnay and One.9 Merlot, the numbers are outstanding - from the low carb count in each glass of wine to the number of cases being ordered. The wines are currently hitting shelves throughout the United States and more than 300,000 cases of the low-carb wines have been shipped to restaurants and retail establishments across the country in an effort to meet the demands of carb-counting Americans.

The introduction of One.6 Chardonnay and One.9 Merlot reflects that growing consumer trend.

The names One.6 Chardonnay and One.9 Merlot communicate the respective carb count of the wines. One.6 Chardonnay has 1.6 carbs per five-ounce glass and One.9 Merlot has 1.9 carbs per five-ounce glass. The names of these one-of-a-kind wines make it easier for consumers to keep track of their carb intake.
One.6 Chardonnay and One.9 Merlot are a result of careful grape selection, dry fermentation, and specific blending to maximize the grapes full flavor and produce a consistent low-carb count.
